It took me 6 months and 2 days to take my $5.000 forex account to $10.000. With that, I conclude the first season of the passive income challenge with RFT EAs, deeming it a massive success.
Originally, I expected the whole series to finish in 12 months. However, the EAs were performing so well, that I hit my target in double speed.
I used the Ranger, the Sharpshooter and the Vigorous EAs by Ryan Brown to grind the balance up to a 2x value.
The EAs
The Ranger is applied to GBPCAD and AUDCAD pairs, and generated 20% of the profits in this six month period. I love this bot as it doesn’t trade often, but when it does, the positions are always safe and they close out in decent profit.
The Sharpshooter is one of the most promising EAs in the entire Powerhouse package. It takes several trades a day on the EURUSD pair, closes them usually within an hour or so. Generated 43% of the total profit in the series. The best feature though is the adaptive stoploss, which makes the whole bot safe to use, no risk of getting my account liquidated.
The Vigorous is the highest frequency EA in among them all. Also applied on the EURUSD pair, this bot makes 10+ trades on a daily basis. Takes miniscule profits quickly, generated 37% of the total profit.
Conclusion
Doubling my account within 6 months was more than I could have ever imagined. The whole ride was fun and exciting. It was an adventure that I’m glad I embarked on. Many thanks to Ryan for being a great chap and a decent guy for providing the project with exposure in the RFT community.
